Ignored files

I am new to this tool, I tried searching for an answer to this on the forums, but had no luck.

I am wanting to look for deleted files, and it only shows me any results if I tell it to scan for non-deleted files. I see "49 files (71566 ignored)" at the bottom of the window.

I really need help with this soon, please.

Go to Options/Actions, and check the first three boxes - the last three boxes are usually unchecked.

That's an awful lot of ignored files. Are you sure that you have nothing entered in the Filename/Path box?

If you're running the Wizard then run it, then press the Switch to Advanced Mode button. Then do the above.

I see the files now. I am looking for a couple of .pst files I deleted within the last month or two.

I don't see them, but am confident they should be there. How do I refine this search?

I have closed your second topic, please read my answer from there below

the sad fact is that they may have been overwritten beyond salvation. . .The best thing to do it to remove the drive from any functioning computer until such time that you can try recovery they longer you wait the hard it will be for ANY program to recover the files.

to refine the search there is a search box at the top right corner, in it type .pst
