IE8 sweetner from Microsoft

See here for details, not sure if it's worth it!!

Yeah, I saw that earlier this morning.

IMHO, Microsoft's just making everyone download IE, after all the rifts they've had in Europe.

Trying to beat Opera, FF, Google, Chrome, etc.

They'd have to pay me ten grand just to install that rubbish again after it caused my system that severe slowdown which affected so many other applications.

I doubt they even have that $10,000 there O.o

Probably it'll just fade out, and no one will remember

That promotion is thought provoking. I agree with you, hazelnut, not sure it's worth it, but 10 K might buy a tank of gasoline?? :P

That move smacks of desperation, and a latent admission that they have a browser that just doesn't cut it.

No thanks MS.

Are they trying to bribe us into getting IE8? Seriously MS, you need to do better than that!

Lol! Desperation much :)

The other they can do is make a better IE9..

Just the way they made Windows 7 after Windows Vista :)

Ohhh. That's why IE8 is such a crap.

They focused so much in making IE8 the only one to see this "page"

that they forgot about the rest of the internet!

If I was them I'd hide it on 4chan, to corrupt more than just the computers of people wanting money.

A strong marketing effort behind Internet Explorer 8 right now seems to be hitting all the controversial buttons. First came ?Browse for the better?, a US food donation program supported by IE8 downloads. Followed by Microsoft Australia?s ?Ten Grand is Buried Here?, an online treasure hunting game exclusively for IE8 users. And most recently ?Get the facts?, a feature comparison chart comparing IE8 to other browsers. If you agree with ?no publicity is bad publicity?, then they sure got their money?s worth.
