Sometimes my firefox spell check doesn't work on the forums. I usually (always) use quick reply, so maybe that's the issue.
iespell doesn't show the red line (ever) you have to manually check spelling. On the forum what it likes to do is place the correctly spelled word inside of the incorrect one (and only some times)

that probably because it's last update was in the 2010 (and before that 2006)
bahaha. Yeah, poor IE, there's no way it can keep up with features like firefox/chrome can (with eachother) due to the fact IE is rarely updated for features. Often enough for security though.
I've never used spellcheck (in browsers).
It wouldn't correct me if my grammar is bad, just the typos.
I use quick reply, too, & Firefox spell check always works for me...
Opera has a great built in spell checker witch whtch which I use
