Having Edge cookies checked seems to remove the login credentials for IE.

Ie for win10 uses the same database as edge. The proper way to keep your logins is to go to ccleaner's settings >cookies and moving the sign-ins you want into the cookies to keep panes, then even with cookies checked you will not lose those login cookies
Hmmm - perhaps MS should develop "Banking 10"? Then my cheques might go to someone else's account ... and their pay cheques to mine ....
OK ... that "explains it" ... as illogical is it is.
No, internet explorer is depreciated. The reason it is even installed is so a user can go to the few sites edge doesn't render well.
Now let's do a thought line on that.
Let's pretend that forum.piriform.com doesn't work properly in edge.
You have already logged into your account here, but because the site isn't fully functional and when it was in internet explorer it did, you press the 'show in internet explore button' on edge. Which of the two would you rather
1) immediately when IE opens the page you can click reply and answer the question I'm asking
Or
2) you click reply and internet explore says you aren't signed into the site, and you have to re-enter your username and password.
To me, number 1 is preferable. Your post, which suggests Microsoft make them separate, would cause number 2
a) Their Favourites are separate .... which would suggest everything is.
CCleaner has a check-box for cookies in IE and Edge ... which also suggests they are separate
Why don't both check/un-check together if the two are one and the same? (WITH a suitable warning, of course!)
I'm not complaining - just pointing out how things are for someone that isn't already familiar with Win10.
You see things how someone that already knows how they are sees them. I see them as a logical extrapolation of what is presented to me having just upgraded from Win7 -> Win 10 .... and there's an inconsistency.
