Hello…
Have bee using CCleaner since day 1 and now that i was forced to use Version 7 I don’t get it?
I used to be able to see what was reported in the areas selected and could then select which items to clean. I don’t seem to be able to do this anymore?
For example.
When scanning the registry for issues CCleaner used to show a list of all items discovered with checkboxes to choose which items to clean. Now i do not see this any more. I can see a reported number of items , with i for information beside it, and clicking on it i have the option to view the items and when choose shows something totally truncated and not what i expect to see. At that point option is to clean and fix which i suspect just does its thing with me not having any control over what is cleaned. I would not just blindly say do it, without know exactly what I am cleaning (deleting).
Am I missing something or have I lost the total control over what is being cleaned as I had in earlier versions?
My opinion on the interface is:
- I have lost control over what I want to address
- the interface has become too complex compared to earlier versions
- it was more intuitive in earlier versions
- takes too long to see what is happening in selected areas compared to earlier versions
As a former developer and information architect for a large organization, I always asked
**“What problem are/were you trying to solve? **
I am asking the developers/Analysts who made this change to the interface that very question now ?
I see no benefit to this version over previous version with respect to the interface as my understanding of it now.
As previously asked above, if I have missed something here, someone please enlighten me.
Thanks in advance to any assistance you can offer.
Cheers!
