I hate CCleaner 7

I have deleted CC7 and reinstalled unticked the boxes regarding updates, and yet I still get a shortcut to 7 on my desktop, ready to go.
Anyone know a way to PERMANENTLY block 7?

How to Roll Back from v7 to v6.39

We now have numerous posts from users dissapointed with the new v7 and asking if/how they can roll back to v6.39. Whilst normally I would say that you should use the latest version that works on your machine I also believe that you should have the choice to roll back from a major feature update. I did exactly that, in fact, yours is the post I followed. And still I get the C7 shortcut on my desktop, ready to go. I have had to deinstall 7 several times and reinstall 6.39 again. Need a permanent fix.

After nearly 20 years of using CCleaner, I have uninstalled it. Forcing the program to automatically load on Windows Start is unacceptable. Previous editions had the ability to prevent loading at startup and this seems to have been removed from version 7. This is my computer, not yours. I do not want random programs loading without my permission. I will now look for alternatives to CCleaner.
