How to use and clean ccleaner pro duplicate finder

Hi,

This is with reference to the CCleaner pro duplicate finder on version 7.3.1120.0. Which ones to check and which ones to uncheck after getting the results by doing duplicated finder cleaning for safer side and good cleaning. Your detailed step-by step method will be more helpful and useful.

Thanks

WARNING-
DO NOT simply use the CCleaner7 Duplicate Finder and then ‘Batch Select’ and Delete every duplicate that it has found.
If you do that you WILL break your machine.

That’s because in CCleaner7 the Duplicate finder has no filters and so by default it will find duplicate System (and application) files that are needed for your machine to work properly.
If you delete those ‘needed’ duplicates then your machine stops working properly (or stops working at all).

If you have to use the Duplicate Finder in CCleaner 7 the be sure to unselect such files before deleting.
If you don’t know how to identify which are the system files and which are your own files then you are best to leave the Duplicate Finder in CCleaner 7 alone for now.
(Hopefully they will make it less dangerous at some time).

If/when you have deleted the needed system file duplicates then you can try using DISM and SFC to repair the system.

If you can’t even get into Windows to run DISM/SFC then try the Windows Startup Repair tool:
