I am sure this has been asked before - When I run the check up it reports 138 trackers to be removed. When I try to fix it Cleaner only removes two trackers.
I have tried custom clean and the results are the same. What am I missing ? Thank for any help
Yes, it gets asked a lot so I wrote an explanation about it.
Have a read of this about what 'Trackers' actually are, why they (and other files) can come straight back after cleaning, and what you can do to stop some of it happening:
(PS. In your case I suspect that your browser is synced, which will bring browser related things back from the cloud as soon as you clean them off your computer).
I've found that the vast majority of Trackers reported by Ccleaner are genrated by Win 10. If you are concnered about this you need to go through every setting in Windows turing off access to a data from apps, reporting page. Good luck

Yeah the privacy settings. Note that you'll have to periodically re-check them to make sure Win10/Win11 hasn't reset them back to defaults which people reported happening in the past.
