How to disable Edge and Explorer?

While running Cleaner, a message says: These programs must be closed. I don't use Edge or Explorer. I use Mozzilla Firefox. How can I turn them off and leave them off?

Open Edge and press the three dots top right of page and scroll down to open Settings.

I left hand panel scroll down to System and Performance.

Make sure 'Continue running background extensions and apps when Microsoft Edge is closed' is turned off

(Personally I always turn off Start up Boost above it too)
