How switch to external USB drive?

The title says it all. I have four hard drives. 2 internal and 2 external USB drives. How the HELL do I get Cclean to run on my non-C drives?

I can ONLY seem to get it to run on my main (C:) drive.

Yes, I tried to install it to my external drives, that worked, but when I run it - it doesn't clean my external drive.

I'm relatively bright (Yale/Harvard) but I can't see ANY PLACE where cclean allows one to oselect or switch drives.

I feel like an idiot as I'm guessing the solution is simple...

Also -- suggest to Piriform -- make it clearer how to switch to other drives!!!!

I just did a quick scan of the CCleaner discussion forum, and it seems that CCleaner is designed to work on certain predesignated folders on the drive containing the operating system into which it (CCleaner) is installed. In fact, the moderators suggest that you don't use it to clean external drives, even if you can. Ccleaners purpose is to remove junk which builds up within windows over time (I think).

So you didn't miss anything, it just isn't in the instructions because it isn't a function of the application.

If I have missed something here, someone will ring in and explain it more thoroughly.

Thanks for your reply. I understand and and appreciate your comments. But if correct, then someone at Piriform needs to realize that as a function of time, more and more people will be using external hard drives and USB drives. Though they may not contain windows OS files, they ALL STILL need to be cleaned. I think Piriform is missing the big BIG time by restricting the use to ONLY the C drive.

If anyone has other ideas or a work around to get cclean to check out my 160gb Maxtor -- and my 4gb USB drive, I'd appreciate!!!

But what exactly are you wanting to clean on these other drives???

My thoughts exactly; no temporary files should be stored on external drives, just data, considering USB will limit the speed at which your programs run at.
