I just noticed that the Software Updater component of Kaspersky Internet Security 2019 is reporting that CCleaner 5.44 is out of date and will update version 5.44 back to 5.45 if allowed. I thought version 5.45 had been pulled from the servers. How is Kaspersky able to download the 5.45 update?
It has been removed. This seems a question to better ask Kaspersky. But they'd be breaking ccleaner's license if they're hosting their own.
v5.45 was only pulled a few days ago, my guess is Kaspersky either 1) hasn't been informed, 2) doesn't check this sort of thing happening regularly or 3) the 'pull' is still trickling it's way through various systems.
