Can't use big Hosts-file, because I need HomeGroup/DNS. :(

nodles, use the big file & hostsXpert (from funkytoad)to Whitelist items. As suggested by MVPs Winhelp site http://majorgeeks.com/HostsXpert_d4626.html

I've read the inscrutions (and tried HostsMan), but it gets a bit time consuming etc for me.

Also whitelisting takes time when the hosts-file is huge (and may contain wrong or old additions/sites).

mvps is carefully checked, & whitelisting is easy you just search (using the find section) the entries you want to remove, right click and say add to white list hostman is different from hostXpert.
