Hosts file cleaner

Would be great if CCleaner had the option to clean & reset the system hosts file to default.

Thanks!

not really ccleaners purview which is to remove junk not protect computers. Try HostXPert

Startup items have to be manually removed or disabled, so I just figured this works much the same way.

Maybe I was wrong... Anyway, thanks!

Really that's something that a Hosts file managing program should deal with, or an anti-malware that scans the Hosts file such as Spybot-S&D, etc.

Yeah, I thought about that, but the tricky thing is, a host file entry isn't really malware... It is just an entry...

I don't really know whether that could be called malware since it doesn't involve scripts or anything, but it is only just a text entry.

Kind of a grey area, I guess...
