Hey Everyone

Happy holidays to all of you too!

Don't forget to get me something for Christmas.

I've been looking at this nice $2300 flat screen at Best Buy

RAFLMAO! Yeah get me one too! Only LCDs are allowed! I'd put one in NORAD, that's what I call my computer room. We do have one. We rented a 3 br just to have a bedroom dedicated to the computers. Which we are up to 5 so far.

 Next you'll need a house to store your computers and gadgets.

lol! a computer room? awesome! we used to have the "animal room" in our old place-4 cats and 4 dogs at one time. (down to 4 cats and 1 dog now).

but i would have rather had a "NORAD room" *sniff* :(

yeah, we have a computer room also.

its even bigger than my room

4 big desks, 3 PCs and 2 laptops...and i christmas tree now!

Now, that is nice. But here we took the bedroom with the master bath. That is a NO NO, I don't like sharing bathrooms. PPL are just too nasty! Even my step son, he's gross too. Our Xmas Tree is in the living room it's a 7 footer.

thats gotta suck.

it's a 7 footer.

hey, mine too!

No not really, I like it. Just wish it was a lot bigger with a jaccuzi tube. Hell Yeah, that's what I want when I get my house at the end of next year.

Hey admiral ross, i have a jaccuzi tub in my bathroom! and a hottub in the back yard! :) but no master bathroom. :( thats one thing i would love to have in my house (we only have two full bathrooms).

and my christmas tree is only 5 feet and its in my dining room-even though my ceiling is about 18 feet high. :(

I've always liked those portable Christmas trees that are no more than say 12 inches tall and fully decorated, and can be thrown back into the box when Christmas is all over. :P:lol:

Now you have something that I like tall ceilings!

takes alot to keep those heated and cooled though, doesnt it?

I'll have to take a picture of the Christmas tree we just got. The thing is freaking 15 foot tall! I'm about 6 foot 2in and its really strange to have to stand on a ladder to decorate/reach something. :P We have to get sorta tall ones though because in our living room the ceiling is probably 25-30 feet.

The first year we moved into this house we got about the same size tree we did before(probably around 7ft) and it looked really sad. People told us it looked like the one on the Charlie Brown Christmas movie. :P

we never had a tree in our old house (it was tiny), and always went to the inlaws to celebrate the christmas stuff. the tree we got, they gave to us! lol! i just shove it in the crawl space after christmas. to be honest, ive never even decorated one.......

thats for the kids and wifes fun. :)

25-30 foot ceilings? that pretty high dude!

@firesinthesky: my heating bill is 105 per month year round (on the budget). i heat with gas, and its not really that bad. hydro and water are dirt cheap so it all balances out.

in my old place we heated with a wood stove, so i would chainsaw and split the wood and use that-that was cheap!

Kids and wifey stuff, AGREED! Wood Burning Stoves are a %@#$! Too much work and then your house gets all that black stuff all over the walls!

Yeah, but it was kind of fun. The truck would drop off about 6 cords of wood and the stack would look huge and smell good, and id get chainsawing and it would take me days, but it was good exercise. Its also pretty cheap. I would heat for the whole winter, and it used to cost be about 65 bucks a cord, which works out to about 400 bucks for the entire winter-which aint too bad.

plus, when you come in out of the cold, there is nothing like a woodfire to take the chill out of your bones. i have a fireplace now, but we are going to convert it to a gas one-which is easier, but not as nice. i must be getting old.......:)

We have a gas one now. We never use it though because it doesn't seem to put off as much heat as regular ones. So we just turn the on the heater. :P

yeah, but its still nice to sit in front of a direct heat source. plus you can get them to install a direct line to your barbecue at the same time so you never have to fill a propane tank again. :)

If I were to heat the house with a fireplace I would get one of those that use corn as the fuel which cost about $1.50 U.S. per day to heat 3000 square feet, the only drawback is the fireplace costs like $4000 U.S. or more.

thats pretty cool. i saw ones that used pellets that were made out of sawdust, and i thought that was neat too.
