It doesn't seem to want to let me post anything.
OK now it does!
Basically I analyzed the drive and it came up as about 41% fragmented, but also it appeared to be in two seperate groups of blocks. The bottom half remained mostly fragmented after running it - also more space is being used. I would include a screenshot but it doesn't seem to want to let me do that.
I just don't understand why it's split in two.
Everything died today.
New Servers on and lots of loose ends to pick up.
Screenshots were O.K. yesterday.
Try again tomorrow.

Just did 'Check Drive for Errors' and even though it came out with no errors, it sent the used space back down to what it was.
Whoops, ignore that first bit! I think I'm just going to leave it now. The part that remains fragmented seems to be all system volume info which I know it won't do.
Thanks for the image. The hot link posting code I extracted from your code on reply #5 is ►

Some free space is lost cos Windows increases your Sys Vol Info when defragging partitions. By using CCleaner's System Restore Management you can delete an old Restore Point to compensate for lost space.
You have only 4% frag. Run a Boot Time Defrag to see if you can get it lower.
I just don't understand why it's split in two.
On smaller partitions Windows always places Sys Vol Info files near the disk center. They don't need to be towards the beginning cos they are rarely needed.
OK, thanks a lot for your help!
