I have (apparently) successfully recovered a number of photos that are jpg documents. (incorrect title) However, the recovered files cannot be opened by photo programs.
Any suggestions?

although the files are recovered, it sounds like they may be corrupted.
what photo programs have you tried?
do you get an error message?
in previous threads, when this has happened, it seems Irfanview has a better-than-most success rate
