HELP! NO BACKUP FILE

I did not save a back up file while running the cleaner and fixing the issues :o(.

IS IT STILL POSSIBLE SOMEHOW REVERSE WHAT I DID DURING THE PROCESS???

Appreciate much for your help.

Hi armas, and welcome to the forum.

You could do a System Restore to a time before you ran CCleaner. I hope you use System Restore, and please make sure you make a backup before doing anything in the registry.

Take a look here for an invaluable app for backing up the entire registry.

I have already tried to go and use System Restore earlier today (Start-Programs-Accesories-System Tools-System Restore)

but only a white empty window is opening ..... nothing happens.

You get a blank white page and nothing else?

If you have System Restore running, then that's something I haven't came across before. Make sure it is running first:

Right click "My Computer", select "Properties", and then select the System Restore tab. If it's running, try launching it via msconfig.

Start\Run\enter "msconfig" (without quotes)\hit return or OK, and try the "Launch System Restore" button.

I found a solution for the problem. Although I never had occasion to use it, might be worth a try.

If messing with some of IE's settings it can really make things like System Restore and other products that require IE to be functional and properly configured to have major issues.
