I am new to CC, I just bought it and I thought it cleaned corruption in the registry. I keep getting for instance acroRd32.exe is corrupt, I have tried command prompt things but nothing is working and someone said, shouldn't CC find that in the registry? So here I am asking, if someone could get me in the right direction I would be so appreciative....lost in corrupt world..
Ccleaner doesn't fix corruption, it seeks out registry items that don't seem to be connected to live programs. Like any registry 'fixer' you shouldn't use it unless you know what you're removing. Read the advice in my signature below.
I've moved this thread to the ccleaner discussion board.
is it just Acrobat Reader that is corrupted, or others?
if just the one, uninstall and reinstall the software.
if others, it may be a sign of deeper issues (gremlins, hard drive failure) and you should be backing up, scanning your drive, perhaps even a repair reload of Windows.
to get you started, start an elevated command prompt and do these;
chkdsk c: /r
sfc /scannow</strong>
