thanks to anyone...not a techy at all....windows 7 acer machine machine is been running slow lately used disk cleaner for windows and cc cleaner now showing results of over 650,000 system temporary files.. paranoid about deleting permanantly but think this number may represent an infection..used malwar bytes , etc...any help would be great t thanks!
A few things in your favour; CC is one of the safer cleaning programs out there and Temp files by their very nature should be safe to delete.
However, it is your PC and no one here knows how you use it and can 100% say you will be safe to continue. So with that in mind, or you want to cover your backside, backup your PC or image your drive first.
Personally, I trust CC and would let it do its thing, I mean after all that is the reason we run these programs. We may second guess them occasionally but really we just want them to do what they are built to do and get on with of lives.
i trust cc too, but i dont delete everything...

at a girlfriend there were more than 1 GB of data trash
