It's 2020. Everything you buy from the store is plug and play. If it's not, there is a problem with the program and it needs to be patched. Don't bother configuring your firewall and editing your registry keys. If ccleaner intended this program to require that, they would also require you to edit everything before deffragger works. Or speccy. Or ccleaner.
I use CCleaner Pro on two family PCs - one one, when I use PC Health, I get an error message "We're unable to establish a connection" and the security block says "unable to reach server" I don't get these messages on the other PC and both are connected to the same wi-fi and otherwise work normally.

Many have reported the same, the development team should be looking into the cause of this.

Apparently, this is not an error. This is what I just received from support.
The error you are seeing is a mislabeling of a different message which should show there are no apps to be updated on your PC as the Security feature in Health Check does not support any of the apps on your PC.
This mislabeling will be corrected in the next update to CCleaner until this issue is resolved you can use the Software Updater function in CCleaner as this performs the same function as Security under Health Check.
Same here. Fed up with paying for a program that does not work. Uninstalling this worthless crap and putting the credit card charge in dispute with my credit card company.

Health Check completes successfully but with the message:
"We're unable to establish a connection"
Under the Security heading
"Unable to reach server"
Yet I am online and able to successfully check for updates . . .
Not sure why this message appears.
There are issues, like yours, with the latest build which the devs are busy fixing.
You can either hang on 'til the new build or go back a build (right-hand side of this page)
I am experiencing the same issue as Arthur Coates. Thanks for posting a very fast reply hazelnut. I've chosen to hang on'til the new build but it's good to know how to go back a build.
Was thinking of buying the paid for version but I also always get the message on Health Check "Unable to reach server " so thinking not to bother
It seems to be a problem with the software updater that gives that message. If everything else is working then simply ignore it until it gets fixed.
Pro (paid) version gives you Smart Cleaning, scheduled cleaning, multi user account cleaning, automatic updates, and customer support by email.
Free version does everything else the same but not those.

With the new version of CCleaner with the Health Check, it says it's unable to establish a connection, for the security check.
I have the Pro version and can connect to the net for updates on the program, so not sure what's going on.
Can anyone help please?
