Still unable to use the Health Check option. Scan button is greyed out and unusable. Screen displays a message “CCleaner is still busy with something else.Try later” This has been showing ever since version 7 came in.Actually managed to speak with a human agent who said that CCleaner people are aware of this bug and are working on it,Could not say when the fix could be available! Not easy to speak with customer seervice folk either.Received an e mail saying that they were going to close my query as thet had not heard from me. It also said to reply to the e mail and the case would be re opened.I replied as requested only to finf that the address wasn,t monitor and therefore cthey could not see my reply. So what was the point of that then? This bug need fixing as soon as poss please.
I opened CCleaner just now and checked for updates and it said I was on 7.1.1042.1243 even though it did not show as upgraded yesterday when I tried. Was able to use Health Check but when it had finished the scan button was greyed out and the message”CCleaner is busy with something else please try later” was showing. So it appears the update hasn t worked either!!
Hi. Have been unable to use health check properly ever since V 7 arrived. I saw there was an update yesterday but it never appeared to work. Opened CCleaner this morning and noticed I had the update to7.1.1042.1243 even though I’d set CCleaner for manual updates!.Did a health check ok but when it had cloes the home screen had the message “CCleaner busy with something else etc” Scan button greyed out and unusable.
Another user worked out that you can get rid of that “CCleaner busy” message by stopping and restarting the CCleaner7 service.
Closing CCleaner, going to Task Manager to ‘End Task’ on the service, and then reopening CCleaner might do it. (or might not - please let us know if you try).
If not then you will need to open the Windows Sercvices and stop the CCleaner 7 service there.
Or a “Restart” of the computer will do it.
@nukecad Thanks for the reply, Tried that and also re starting etc. You get the normal screen and then you can do Health Check. Next time you use it the scan button is again greyed out and the “busy with something else” message is showing.
Yes, stopping and restarting the service yourself is a work around and not a fix.
If you are affected with whatever is causing this ‘Busy’ bug then you will have to stop/restart the service each time until they do fix it properly.
Thankyou.lets hope this bug is fixed soon.
