Hangs at 99%

I am a new user of CCleaner, just downloaded 2.26.1050. I am encountering the following problem:

When analyzing registry problems, the application gets to 99% done status, and then hangs with the cursor as hourglass. I am running on Win XP SP2.

Also, the entire system freezes during the scan, with the PC being non-responsive, but the PC does come back after a prolonged period.

Would appreciate feedback on these issues.

Launch Windows Task Manager BEFORE you analyze, and observe processes.

When "the entire system freezes during the scan" the CPU column will show if it is entirely CCleaner causing the freeze,

or if something else (e.g. Antivirus or "Behaviour Blocker" etc.) that is in conflict.
