Google Chat problems - CCleaner to blame?

On google chat, while all my contacts can chat with each other, they can't with me and I can't with them. Sometimes they show green (online), sometimes grey (offline). Likewise, I show green at my terminal, but they see me only as offline. We've deleted and reinstalled, but to no avail.

Now the point is... someone said that the problem may well be caused by CCleaner. Any thoughts as to whether this is right - and what to do about it? Thanks a lot.

Now did you use the registry cleaner as well as the file cleaner?

If you did do the registry clean try restoring one of the the backups it saved.

Another thing to try is using a XP/Vista restore point.

others may have more ideas.

I do not think CCleaner is to blame. I use GTalk too and use CCleaner very frequently.

No such problem faced by me. =]
