I have switched my Internet provider from AOL to a different provider. I went to uninstall programs and uninstalled AOL (all AOL programs-security, browser, extras etc.) But I have heard that AOL is very hard to remove and hides files everywhere on your system. I went to START-SEARCH and typed in AOL(to search for any AOL files) and it shows a ton of AOL file folders and files after the uninstall was done. I heard there was a way that CCleaner will get rid of the old AOL files without harming anything?
Can you please walk me through doing this with CCleaner, I would really appreciate it !!!!
After I use Add/Remove Programs to un-install applications then reboot to let the un-install complete to remove in-use files I run RegSeeker Clean the Registry function to find and remove extraneous entries then I use NTREGOPT to optimize the registry.
