I was doing a CCleaner free space wipe, which was almost complete I believe, when there was a power failure and my computer shut off.... When I turned on my computer after I got power back, I got a low disc space notice, and found my 70gig hard drive, which had been 3/4 empty, was now 99%+ full!! I know CCleaner makes a huge file to wipe free space, but now I can't do anything to get my free space back!! I tried to delete the huge CCleaner file off my hard drive (my computer>local disc>open>attempt to delete huge CCleaner file) but I get told my access is denied. Can anyone help me?
If you have Malwarebytes you may be able to delete the file with Malwarebytes\ MoreTools\ FileAssassin. If not, delete with Unlocker.
Malwarebytes worked like a charm!I never even knew that tool was available in Malwarebytes. I'm not very computer savvy obviously,so that was a great help to me. Thanks so much I really appreciate your help.
Glad to hear you got it sorted after following kroozers suggestion.
