850 revoverable files found with the free portable version- only 26 found in many hours in pro-version- windows 10- i7 16/1 tb-
There is absolutely no difference in the functionality of the free or paid versions.
The paid version will not find any more, or any less, than the free version - so long as you use the same search settings.
If they found different things then you used different settings.
All that the paid version offers extra is virtual hard drive scanning/recovery, priority support by email, and automatic updating. (There hasn't been a functionality update for years).
So yes, - you could have saved your money if you had read what you were actually paying for.
