Speccy reports
- Total memeoy slots 1
- Used memeory slots 4
- Free memeoery slots -3
There are inded 4 RAM slots
I see that you asked a similar question before, sorry no-one replied back then.
That will probably be because you have dual channel memory capability, so Speccy is reporting the number of channels available/used (8 in total) rather than just the physical slots (4).
If it just reported the physical slots then that would be less RAM channels than you actually have available.
Why the first line says only one slot total is probably just due to the way the multi-channel RAM controller is configured by HP.
(It really is time that Speccy had an update to recognise newer technologies).
