CCleaner gives an option for force quitting edge, but this reflects badly in the Reliability Monitor control panel;
perhaps there is a way to avoid this?
Disable Microsoft Edge pre-loading and that might fix it (referring to the original Edge not the upcoming replacement based upon Chrome/Chromium):

You shouldn't allow it to force Edge to close, doing that can cause the database in Edge to become corrupted.
