Folder viewing options change when ccleaner is run

Hi,

I usually set my folder viewing options to 'Icons' for all folders and then set some folders to 'Thumbnails'.

When I run ccleaner these options get reset back to 'Tiles' and I then have to re-configure how I want to view my folders.

I presume this is a registry setting. Can this change that ccleaner makes be avoided.

Thanks,

andytw

Hi andytw, and welcome.

If checked, you should clear any boxes in the Cleaner > Windows > Advanced section.

Window Size/Location Cache - When you open and close Windows Explorer, Windows records folder settings for window position, sort order, columns, folder type, toolbar toggles, and search result views.
