Flash Drive failure

I don't have this problem....but if a flash drive fails, is the data recoverable? Also what is the life of a SanDisk flash drive?

I've seen some places say they should last 5 years I've seen others saying they should last 20. I think it just matters if you take care of it or not.(removing it properly ect)

I know all of the ones I've bought have had lifetime warranties. You should see if yous does. :D

(I've always bought pny ones)

As for getting you data back... Try one of these:

Does removing properly mean clicking the "safely remove" button? Because I know that my Flash drive is configured for fast removal. I'm thinking it could also mean not removing the flash drive before all the data is written - but how would that damage the hardware?

It will cause data loss and corrupt the data.

It would probably cause problems on the drive as well. :( (maybe try formatting it..)
