Flash Cookies

Hi am a newbie so please bear with me!

Have justed started using Firefox 3.5 as wanted a more secure browser (had money stolen online!!).

Have been looking at addons & found one called Better Privacy which says about Flash cookies that the browser can't detect OR delete.

Now my question is does CCLEANER delete these or should I download this addon?

Thanks in advance for help

Hi Caramel

I just came across this article http://www.wired.com/epicenter/2009/08/you...es-think-again/, and then remembered I'd seen a post on here ... which turned out to be yours.

Firstly bear in mind I'm not an experienced ccleaner user, but from what I can see ccleaner does delete (at least) those files mentioned in the article. Note the link at the bottom of the article that references ccleaner :). I tried it on my own machine and with "Adobe Flash Player" setting ticked the on the Cleaner "Applications" tab, the SOL files in subdirectories of the "Macromedia\FlashPlayer\#SharedObjects" folder mentioned in the article were indeed removed.

They're called those "Super Cookies." Not really all that "super" when they can be deleted though, although site specifications such as saving settings for online games will go kaput when deleting them.

I'd call 'em "cheat" cookies

So it's not recommended to remove them when you play a lot of online games?

Are there some problems reported that are caused by these cookies?
