As this thread is now 4 pages long "The same problem" could be refereing to a few things.

If you are meaning that CCleaner opens and the closes immediately then please answer the following:

What version of CCleaner have you installed? The latest is v5.89.9401.

What Antivirus are you using? and if not Windows Defender then what version is it? (The version number please, not just 'the latest' or 'it's up to date').

What Windows version/build do you have?

There are quite a few of those out there impersonating all major software brands. As you might expect, they are not usually big on refunds, and you may need to contact your bank or credit card company for a chargeback if you gave them your credit card number over the phone.

CCleaner's actual technical support would have responded to your email quite promptly with the information on how to download the patched version of CCleaner (from https://www.ccleaner.com/go/get_ccpro) - which would have solved your problem.

Note that if you still have the software that the scammers installed on your computer, you may be able to use CCleaner to remove it (from CCleaner's Tools > Uninstall menu).

I got the number off CCleaner page or so I thought Norton's got what they installed on my computer , A little hesitant to re sown load it. Thank you for responding to my issue , greatly appreciated.

When I open my CCleaner Professional, it opens as it is supposed to, but then it immediately closes. The CCleaner program only stays open for about 1-2 seconds and then closes. This is a new phenomenon as it has worked perfectly all along. HELP

Sounds like you have a bugged version of ccleaner which was causing this exact problem, please redownload and reinstall ccleaner. You don't need to Uninstall first.

I think I know what the problem is. If I am connected to the internet CC closes immediately. If I am not connected to the internet CC does NOT close immediately. It must have something to do app when it connects to the internet.
