I have one small thing that always annoys me, & to be truthful, it is one reason I do not use 7 more often.
I cannot get CCleaner to just delete shortcuts via drag & drop like it was in XP. Unless I painfully have to manually edit a .ini file to include it.
The problem also being that shortcuts act different under 7 than they do in XP.
___________
Example:
Manually browse to a .LNK file in XP, & it adds just the .LNK file.
Manually browse to a .LNK file in 7, & it adds the file the .LNK links to, instead of the .LNK shortcut.
I wonder why this cannot be fixed though, because I know that you can right click a shortcut in 7 & it will show the file it is linked to, but it also does show the directory the shortcut exists in, below that.
___________
Wouldn't there be a way to make CCleaner parse the properties of the shortcut to gain the location of it to add to the .ini file, instead of doing like it does in XP? This would change the current way of doing it, but it would make it work under both XP & 7. I love this feature, & I hope it gets fixed. It's driving me bananas!
Thank you everyone!
