First run stuck on temp files for 15hrs

Failed to get pass IE temp files. Not a good start.

try cleaning the IE stuff from with IE first, just to get over the hurdle.

then use CC again and see if it goes through to completion.

failing that, try running CC from Safe Mode.

I don't even use IE. On the rare occasion that it fires up when Solidworks goes on line, I instantly get adverts thrown at me.

Given the chance I'd uninstall it, but I suspect Micro$oft would throw a wobbly.

Birth, death and data loss. You can control the fist as well! AND SHOULD!

Doesn't matter that you don't use internet explorer, the engine that runs is (called trident) is a major underpinning of the Operating System and MANY softwares, thus the junk is created.

Limit IE cache size to 50 MB (I think it's the minimum) (Control Panel -> Internet Options). I have seen systems with a 3GB of allocated disk cache.
