i was wondering if CCleaner also cleans out all the "junk" in FireFox while it is cleaning IE/whole computer.
Just find it a little wierd on how i have Tracking cookies from a whole mess of sites i haven't visited and i made sure to get rid of all cookies using CCleaner...(turning into a problem now) and yet i scanned several times with AVG and i still have the tracking cookies.
BTW i have the latest FireFox and CCleaner (if that helps).
Yes CCleaner does clean Firefox, but it's possible these tracking cookies are being deposited in non standard locations. Of course Firefox needs to be closed down completely to be fully cleaned.
So firstly make sure Firefox isn't still running after you've closed it normally by checking in Task Manager, Ctrl+Alt+Del.
Once you've ascertained that it's closing down properly, if you know the location of the errant Tracking Cookies, you can get rid of them by using CCleaners "Include" feature. "Options\Include\Add Folder or File".
You must also check the "Custom Files And Folders" box in "CCleaner\Windows\Advanced" for this to work.
Hope that helps, but post back if it doesn't do the trick.
EDIT: There's a new Piriform Guides site covering CCleaner, Defraggler and Recuva. Worth checking out, and there's a link to it in my signature.
