Firefox causing blue screen?

This is so annoying when i use firefox either straight away or a unspecified time while using it my pc goes to the blue screen. When it first happened i did not think it had anything to do with firefox but i have had it 8 times now all while using firefox either at firefox launch or while using. Does anyone have a clue why this is, cheers.

Edit: 2 weeks ago i installed a new pci adsl modem it has not caused any crashing before apart from my dam connection hanging up when it pleases but could it be causing the problem?

its prolly cause firefox is unstable on some systems.

Thanks Mangix but i have now discovered it is the latest version of zone alarm a file called vsdatant.sys which is causing the problem i have reverted to my previous version while i figure out what to do.

I guess I will never update my zone alarm. I'm using version 5.5.094.000 and have had zero problems.

You can get the version I use here:

Try it and see if it gives you the same errors. The worst thing that could happen is that you have to uninstall it.

Thanks for the link rridgely but i should have mentioned the version i reverted to is 5.5.094.000 and thats the version i have no problems with. Like you i think i will stick with it for the mean time.

im sticking with the same version too(to tell you the truth, the version you guys use(and me) is the first ZoneAlarm i got :) )
