My son's HD was accidently deleted and all of his files removed. I used Recuva and it found thousands of files. Many can't be opened, although the titles seem to be in order. One problem that I am facing is that he uses it for gaming. That adds so many files that I don't care to restore, with many duplicated. How do I filter all this out or do I have to go through 50,000 files by hand? I am finding many of the files are corrupt.
Switch to Advanced Mode (if you're not there already) and use the File/Path box in the top r/h corner. You can also sort the columns by clicking on the column header, or change the display to a tree view by right clicking and selecting View Mode.
You don't need to rescan every time, the full list is always generated in a scan whether you filter or not.
