Files names are in blue "help"

Hi just defragmented my PC, but now some of the file names are in blue...whats going on?

doesnt that mean some are compressed?

Yes, blue does mean compressed. And even if you de-compress them back into original state WinXP may or will again compress them if you don't access them for some time.

Yes but the files Im talking about are small doc and rar files. Shoundnt only bif files be compressed?

WinXP should compress files you haven't used for a while only if you use Disk Cleanup with Compress old files enabled (you can set how many days is "old").

Alternatively, at some point might you have moved the files into a compressed folder? See http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;307987 re: this and more.
