"files ignored" during recovery

Dear Community,

somehow I have managed to delete (?) / disappear a complete folder of vacation pictures from my external drive.

When I recover (deep scan) I received the message "131 file recovered (128605 ignored)" - even the 131 are ones which I did not look for.

Is the another way to get to those "ignred" files ?

Thanks in advance Rudi

Yes. If you are in Advanced Mode clear anything that is in the Filename or Path box. Then open Options/Actions and check the top three boxes. Finally in Options/Actions check the 5th box (Scan for Non-Deleted Files). Then your ignored files should be zero. You may have to rescan, but try the box checking first.

Hello,

I have done what you suggested above, however, there still are 100,000+ ignored files. What else can be done to make sure all of the files are revealed? I am noticing that most of the results are random icons, buttons and other images from the internet which are not my pictures which I am trying to retrieve.

Please advise.

Thank you!

Then I guess you will have to scan again. With everything cleared/checked as above you should have no ignored files. Yes, most of them will be tat.

Looks like there are 2 different posters in this thread.

that's just plain sneaky...

Hmmm, missed that, from different continents too.

How can I get into "Advanced Mode" ... I maybe don't the full version (just the one which was made available by Computerbild) - therefore no check boxes etc. Not sure if I can upgrade withut buying the full version.
