It says it uses the same method as the windows defragger.
Why not just use the windows defragger then , is defraggler better ?
And why is defraggler better then all of the 10.000 defraggers on the internet ?
All defragging programs use the Windows Defragging API, the only differences between each one are purely cosmetic and cost.
The Windows defragging tool works well (and better for large files in some cases) but it's time consuming since it has to defrag all files.
Defragger has the advantage of better control over files to defrag / increasing contiguous freespace thus taking less time to run.
There are other defragging tools on par and better than Defragger but that's my own personal opinion.

It's better, because:
- If Windows Defrag is broken or taken out by people "tweakin" their system, you can still defrag using this
- Better control over the files/folders being defragged
- Better control over contiguous free space
- Easier to see free space + files being moved
- Same standardized program interface across XP/Vista/7
- Easier scheduling of defrags
- Easier to defrag consecutive drives
