I use Microsoft Edge and the Ecosia search engine homepage.
Below the large text box in the center of the page, there were 16 bookmark shortcuts, divided into two rows.
After the last CCleaner scan and cleanup, the bottom row disappeared, and I can no longer restore the eight missing buttons.
Any suggestions?

If you open a new tab in MS Edge and select the Settings (gear) button …
… are you able to select 2 Rows under the Quick Links options? If so, you might have to add your missing quick links back into your second row of shortcut tiles using the Add Shortcut button (highlighted in yellow in the image below) if your old quick links don’t automatically reappear.
NOTE: I don’t use CCleaner v7.x so I can’t test to confirm that the disappearance of the second row of quick links on your MS Edge new tab was actually caused by a bug in CCleaner v7.x.

What do you have checked off under edge in the browser tab in custom clean, or are you using healthcheck?
Usually those links are history so if you’re cleaning browser history they will disappear. I don’t know for sure on that particular search page, I think @lmacri is pointing out how to do it on the default Bing new tab page (though I could be misunderstanding either you or them)

Well,… I live in Italy, so the Edge browser is the Italian version, which I think might be different from the others.
On my home page, I have Ecosia as the search engine, not Bing, which I think is the one Imacri’s example refers to.
To open the settings, I click on the three dots in the top right and then the gear icon, but I don’t see any options for row layout, even though I looked everywhere.
The CCleaner scan was the same as the previous ones, and the buttons had never disappeared.
Could CCleaner have downloaded an updated version of the Ecosia search engine, which only has one row of buttons instead of two?
This imparts no information, I’m not in your head. Please answer the question: custom clean or healthcheck? If custom clean what do you have checked off under edge?
It’s unlikely this is a case, unless Ecosia is an application and unless they have it in there limited database of apps, ccleaner does not download and install anything, even then (if using healthcheck) it gives you the option of installing which you need to do manually.
Search engines, in general, do not reside on your machine, they are, generally, a webserver based interface.
Please screenshot all settings, I’ll use Ai to translate if you can’t get them in English, though English would be preferred and appreciated.
I discovered that this behavior is caused by the Ecosia server, not by Edge or the CCleaner scan (healthcheck).
It appears that Ecosia is applying a new layout that limits the display to 8 links.
