Failure to install new version in W 11

Hello,

The installation failed new version, and the application stopped working in Windows 11. I uninstalled it and tried to reinstall it, but the installation process stopped and did not continue. As if it blocked something. No message. Antivirus ESET. The old version of CCleaner worked. What should I do?

ESET can be slow to recognise new versions of software, so will often block them from installing/running until the ESET definitions get updated.

Try:

  1. Updating ESET’s definitions.
    if that doesn’t help then:
  2. Making CCleaner 7 an ‘allow’ in ESET.
