Exclude folder not working

hi guys,

i am trying to exclude my folder that has all my movies in it coz it just takes hours for defraggler to defrag all the time. i have put already put the folder in the exclude list but defraggler is still saying that i have fraggments and is still reading the folder?

the folder is in C/users/name/videos

its now saying i have 100gb fragmented and taking ages to do anything?

any help plz

Did you put it in as C:/Users/ or C:\users\ ? I think someone else mentioned having their exclude lists forgotten.

Do you save your settings to an ini file?

it is C:\users and no i don`t save to a ini file. i don`t know what that means but it is not ticked to save to a ini file. i am new to computers so plz bare with me lol

Try going into Defraggler's settings and selecting to save the settings to an ini file.

Then, re-add your movies folder to the exclusion list.

Which operation system are you using?

windows 7 64 bit

And did setting your settings to save to an ini, then re-adding the folder to the exclude list work at all?

no i haven`t done it yet, i don`t kown what doing the ini file thing does really. i have right clicked on the movies folder and started to defrag just that folder at the moment to see if that helps . . .

Normally, program settings are stored in registry entries, but choosing the "ini file" option means they are saved to a kind of text file, which you can edit, or maybe copy to another location to back up your settings. It can be useful.

Have a look in "C:\Program Files\Defraggler" ...
