Ever expanding recycle bin

I've found a major issue with CCleaner in version 3.04.1389

My folder $Recycle.bin (Hidden under windows 64bit) was 660gb, even though my recycle bin was empty. It was impossible to clean out, since the recycle bin was empty. Finally had to pull the drive and put it on a non-windows system to delete the folder. Which instantly gave me back 660gb of free space.

Basically, it appears that ever temp file that was ever put into the recycle bin was actually saved. (They may have been cleaned, I wasn't interested in finding out)

I'm not sure what caused this issue, but each time CCleaner was run against the recycle bin, drive space went down, until the drive totally filled up.

Finally had to pull the drive and put it on a non-windows system to delete the folder. Which instantly gave me back 660gb of free space.

Hi Serra, welcome to the forum. :)

Having to remove the drive to delete the $Recycle.bin certainly is a drastic solution. Prior to that did you try to reset the Recycle bin this way?
