Hi,
I've been trying to uninstall a dangerous program called BearShare. I downloaded CCleaner in the hope that I could uninstall it as I've been having problems doing the usual Add/Remove Programs route.
When I try uninstalling BearShare on CCleaner I get an error message that says:
"Error 3 - The system cannot find the path specified"
Prior to using CCleaner, I had searched for BearShare files and deleted them. Plus BearShare doesn't appear on the Add/Remove Programs list and neither in my Start menu. Yet it's still detected by CCleaner. ![]()
Please help!
NOT TO WORRY! if problem occurs, you could manually remove through registry editor. type regedit in run (start menu), then find the values and delete them. this link is helpful: http://www.spywaredb.com/remove-bearshare/
This is what I found when I had a similar situation some time back.
I downloaded this Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.
I deleted BearShare from there.
Then, you could run the Registry Cleaner in CCleaner. Warning: Using Registry Cleaner is hazardous to health
ALWAYS TAKE A BACKUP. USE ERUNT. "Fix" every entry related to BearShare.
Run CCleaner again.
Hope this Helps ![:)]()
