Error installing and uninstall

Hi!

I've been using CC for a while and everything has been working fine. But when I tried to install the update 133, the installation stops while registering the file 'ccsystem.dll'. I retried the installation a few times, but the same crash happens everytime. Then I tried to un-install the old cc and that uninstall crashed aswell... I can get into the new version by the 'right click trashcan option' and it seems to be running, but the installation was definatly not completed.. I have an Acer laptop and it seems some people are having some troubles with it. What could be wrong?

Make sure you have the Microsoft Visual Basic Runtime Files installed as detailed here, reinstalling them can fix some issues if they've became corrupted/broken. Also see the thread about when CCleaner won't install here.

If that doesn't help there's a new CCleaner version coming out this week as posted here.

I'm still stuck though. I tried installing the Microsoft VBRF, but it still didn't work.. so I waited for the new CC 1.34 and the same error accurs when I'm trying to install. The installation is incomplete, No startmenu, no shortcuts or uninstall files in folder!

Usually the MS VB Runtime Files would have fixed most issues, but in this case they didn't, so I'm at a loss and really don't know what else to suggest.
