Anyone have some actual insight into this issue of trash not emptying? (online and ai answers are same useless nonsense) It’s as if Ccleaner randomly decides to recognize there’s trash, sometimes. Other times, nah… big as hell files… nah. Little files? Nah. ‘no clutter found.’ Well, I can positively affirm - THERE’S CLUTTER. Would really appreciate any solid info into why this happens (and no… my files aren’t corrupt, search/spotlight not corrupt, blah blah, etc.)
Sounds like you have a corrupt recycle bin. It can be fixed.
Open the start window and type:- Command
It should show you the Command Prompt, click “Run as Administrator”
In the command windows that opens type (or copy/paste) the following and press Enter:
rd /s /q C:$Recycle.bin
That will reset the bin so that it now works properly, and you can close the command prompt.
sorry @hazelnut not this time i think, as this is a MACos question
