Empty XP Folders

Just wondering if there's a potential problem with deleting empty folders? I'm assuming that some programs require these (empty) folders from time to time.

Is there any way to differentiate between the ones that might be needed and the ones that are not?

The ones that are needed by the O.S are probably hidden in the first place.

Don't delete OS related empty folders. They might not be critical, but they are often times re-created after system reboot. It's better to leave them alone. And since they are empty, they don't take any disc space.

tbh it's more harm(can be caused) then good.

whats the actual hassel with an empty folder? is it harming your pc? is it taking up space?(maybe if there was 10 million) unles you know what it is. just leave alone.

That and you'll know if Windows wants a certain folder to remain intact even if it's completely empty, case in point:

C:\Program Files\xerox
