my cleaner "skips" edge cleaning. will that be fixed soon? thanks
The solution is here for now, that is until they fix it in CCleaner:
Andavari's response is really helpful. I am very familiar with the registry, but the key referred to in the published instructions is not there. I was unsure if this was a change made by Microsoft (a familiar problem) or if I was supposed to create the key. It takes hours to make a disk image to make sure things work properly with the new reg. I know I could back up the reg and usually Win 10 will load "last good" but that is a gamble! So thanks for the clarification. Now if Edge would just get its act together with Flash player I would use it!?
Of course remember that Edge Chrome is now officially released this week, and so everthing 'Edge' is going to change again.
Yes I downloaded it last night. The problem (for me) is any sites that you enable for Flash are deleted when you close the browser. There was an extension that one had to pay for that said it made working with Flash sites easier.
I don't know, Flash is supposed to be phased out this year (or maybe not we've seen that before) which may be why Edge Chrome is deleting it.
Or it may be just a setting in the new Edge that you have to change?
Whilst I have downloaded the new Edge to stay up to date I don't use it - I use Firefox 99.9% of the time.
