Hi - I am using Windows 11. Duplicate Finder runs and finds duplicates. It is unable to delete them or send them to the recycle bin stating “it ran into an error” as if the action itself was not erroneous. This happens if i select a single file or make a bulk deletion request. I have checked the forum requests for help on this, but found nothing that works. I have downloaded CCleaner Support too, but it goes into the ether somewhere. Please help with suggestions if this affected you. Thank you,.
Hi @Schubper,
If you have downloaded the CCleaner Support Tool, please:
-
Reproduce the issue you experienced.
-
Allow the tool to generate new log files.
-
Send me the 5-digit File ID shown at the end of the tool’s run, so I can locate your logs.
It would also be very helpful if you could attach a screenshot of the error message you see when the issue occurs, as this will assist with our investigation.
If you have any problems with these steps, please reply to this message and let me know.

- Hi @mlr32main,
Download and install the CCleaner Support Tool using the link below: https://download.ccleaner.com/CCleanerSupportTool.exe - Replicate the issue on your end.
- Run the tool to generate the logs.
- At the end of the process, you’ll receive a 5-digit File ID.
Please share that File ID with me so I can review the logs and investigate further.
